Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decline of 18.45 points, or 0.17%, at the start of trading on Monday, descending to 10,697 points from the previous session’s close. The decrease was influenced by losses across six sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the sectors leading the downturn included Telecoms with a decrease of 0.49%, Insurance down by 0.24%, Real Estate falling by 0.15%, Banks and Financial Services also dropping by 0.15%, Consumer Goods and Services slipping by 0.02%, and Industrials decreasing by 0.02%. Conversely, the Transportation sector showed an increase of 0.27%.
By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QR 36.429 million, with 15.081 million shares being exchanged across 2,908 transactions.
