QSE Index Records Decline as Market Closes Lower

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index closed 101.52 points lower on Wednesday, representing a 1.03% decline, to settle at 9,751.31 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading volume for the day reached 87,368,852 shares, with a turnover totaling QAR 244,829,111.195 executed through 15,960 transactions across all sectors. The stock performance saw the shares of five companies advance, whereas the shares of 44 companies declined, and five companies maintained their previous closing prices.

The report further indicated that market capitalization rose to QAR 585,873,464,555.544 at the close, compared to QAR 592,179,716,071.012 in the previous session, showing a decrease in overall market value.
