QSFA Launches New Round of Fitness Contests in Al-Thakhira

Al-thakhira: The Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA) organized a new round of fitness contests, drawing wide participation from children, young people, and youth.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event was organized in collaboration with Al-Thakhira Youth Center as part of the QSFA's programs aimed at promoting a culture of sports and physical activity among various segments of society. The competitions, held at Al-Thakhira Youth Center, attracted children aged 3 to 11, juniors aged 12 to 15, and young people aged 16 to 18, all in a sporting and competitive atmosphere intended to develop physical capabilities and encourage participants to pursue an active lifestyle.

The tournament was part of ongoing initiatives to strengthen fitness levels among different age groups in society, chiefly the '365 Days of Activity' program. Through this initiative, QSFA aims to achieve multiple objectives, most notably encouraging community segments to engage in sports activities. It also aims to make use of sports facilities, public parks, sports clubs, and centers nationwide to hold activities and offer comprehensive and innovative competitions suitable for different age groups.

Executive Director of QSFA Abdullah Al Dosari emphasized that these kinds of championships are among the most important activities on the Federation's calendar. They play a direct role in encouraging many community members to practice sports and engage in physical fitness activities. Al Dosari highlighted that these events are easy for everyone to engage in, starting at a variety of levels, and do not require special activities or requirements imposed by certain sports, such as swimming, equestrian, tennis, and shooting.
