The Russian navy began massive naval exercises in the Pacific and Arctic Oceans and the Mediterranean, Caspian, and Baltic Seas starting today, Tuesday, and running until September 16. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that over 400 warships, submarines, and support vessels will participate in the drills, alongside over 120 aircraft and helicopters, 7,000 units of military and special equipment and over 90,000 military personnel. The ministry added that the drills' main objectives include testing the Russian navy command's readiness to manage various groups of forces within their areas of responsibility, addressing emergency field tasks, making comprehensive use of precision-guided and advanced modern weapons and equipment, in addition to widening interaction with partner country navies when working joint maritime tasks.
