Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange main stock index closed lower today, losing 12.40 points to reach 10,833.18 points, with total transactions amounting to SAR4.8 billion.
According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 255 million shares were traded during the session, with 91 companies posting gains and 159 companies closing lower. The session reflected a general decline in market sentiment, impacting a significant number of listed companies.
In a similar trend, the Saudi Parallel Market Index (NOMU) also experienced a downturn. It closed lower, losing 156.85 points to settle at 21,667.61 points. Transactions on the NOMU were valued at SAR18 million, with a traded volume exceeding two million shares. This performance highlighted a challenging day for the parallel market as well.
