The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense announced the arrest of 6 drug dealers in the governorates of Baghdad and Babylon. The Ministry stated in a statement that: "Under the direction and supervision of the Minister of Defense Thabet Al-Abbasi, as part of the continued implementation of qualitative operations by the heroes of the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense, and with a distinguished intelligence effort, the Directorate's detachments were able to arrest five drug dealers in Baghdad and another in Babylon Governorate, against whom arrest warrants were issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of the Drugs Law, and various narcotic substances, a hand grenade and light weapons were seized in their possession, and legal measures were taken against them and they were referred to the judiciary."
