The Syrian junior tennis team qualified for the Asian U-12 finals after reaching the final round of the West Asian Championship being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman. The Syrian team won over the Iraqi counterpart 2-1 in the semi-final match, noting that it topped its group in the first round with three victories over each of Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
