The Joint Operations Command announced that terrorist dens were targeted by an air strike in Kirkuk Governorate.
The command stated in a statement: "After the Air Force launched a successful, painful strike with F-16 aircraft in Wadi al-Shay within the Kirkuk Operations Sector, based on accurate information from the Military Intelligence Directorate in coordination with the Targeting Cell / Joint Operations Command, a security force went out to inspect the targeted location yesterday, Wednesday. The painful strikes of our brave hawks resulted in the destruction of a large den containing mobile headquarters, underground rooms, and three firing points, and the destruction and burning of a pick-up.
It added, "It also found the bodies of two terrorists, one of whom was booby-trapped and was detonated in the field, along with the scattered body parts of two other terrorists, as a result of the direct air strike, its accuracy, and the detonation of four explosive devices, and three solar energy reflectors were found."
In its statement, it indicated that a group of handwritten letters between the terrorists was found, civilian and military equipment, furniture, supplies, foodstuffs, water tanks and pumps were found, and a destroyed RPG7 launcher also was found.
