A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated: A joint force from the Fourth Brigade, Energy Police, the Diyala Explosives Control Directorate, and the Diyala Operations Command began field surveys to detect explosives in the Khashm al-Ahmar fields and secure them completely from war remnants and unexploded bombs, in preparation for the work of oil investment companies and their control by the Energy Police Directorate, as Al-Khashm Al-Ahmar fields are among the most important projects that will contribute to gas production and support the national economy.
