The first flight from Baghdad to Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman took off with one flight per week, transporting 180 passengers. According to the Ministry of Transport, "This direct flight eliminates transit for citizens after travel became direct between the two countries, and this step came in coordination between the Iraqi and Omani sides, especially before the opening of the line between the two countries, as flights will continue weekly every Friday, with expectations of increasing flights and destinations.
