Tottenham Sign Egypt’s Omar Marmoush

London: Tottenham Hotspur F.C. signed Egypt international Omar Marmoush from Manchester City on a one-season loan. Marmoush, a versatile forward known for his goal-scoring ability, joins Spurs as they bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.

According to Qatar News Agency, Marmoush began his professional career with Egyptian club Wadi Degla in 2016 before moving to the German side Wolfsburg. His career in Germany saw him gaining experience with loan spells at St. Pauli and Stuttgart, which eventually led to his signing with Eintracht Frankfurt in May 2023. During his tenure with Frankfurt, Marmoush made a significant impact by scoring 37 goals and providing 20 assists in 67 appearances. His performance caught the attention of Manchester City, which secured his services in January 2025.

At Manchester City, Marmoush made 62 appearances across various competitions, scoring 16 goals. He played a crucial role in helping the team secure the League Cup and FA Cup titles. Notably, he achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a hat-trick against Newcastle United in his debut season.

On the international stage, Marmoush has been a key player for Egypt, earning 55 caps and scoring 11 goals. He has participated in three editions of the Africa Cup of Nations and recently made his first appearance in the FIFA World Cup.
