Doha: Israeli evacuation orders followed by intense attacks on Deir al-Balah in Gaza will lead to further civilian casualties, as confirmed by the United Nations on Tuesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, expressed grave concern, stating: “It seemed the nightmare couldn’t possibly get worse. And yet it does… Given the concentration of civilians in the area, and the means and methods of warfare employed by Israel until now, the risks of unlawful killings and other serious violations of international humanitarian law are extremely high.”

Since October 7, 2023, the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 59,106, with another 142,511 injured.
