Doha: The main stock indices on the US Wall Street Stock Exchange closed mixed at the end of Tuesday’s trading session. The Standard and Poor’s 500 Index ended the day down by 37.62 points, or 0.58%, closing at 6,411.53 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index also declined by 313.83 points, or 1.45%, to close at 21,315.95 points. In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 10.82 points, or 0.02%, ending the session at 44,922.64 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the mixed performance of the indices reflects varied investor sentiment amidst ongoing economic factors influencing the market. The drop in the Standard and Poor’s 500 and the Nasdaq Composite Index suggests pressures in specific sectors, while the slight rise in the Dow Jones Industrial Average indicates resilience in other areas.
