Washington: The United States announced that more than 569 metric tons of humanitarian aid had been delivered to the Gaza Strip through the temporary pier so far. US Central Command stated that the United States and many other partners donated this aid. The US Army completed, a few days ago, the construction of the floating pier off the coast of Gaza to transport humanitarian aid to the Strip, in light of the Israeli occupation forces continuing to close the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings in the southern Gaza Strip for more than two weeks, which exacerbated the humanitarian catastrophe plaguing the besieged sector.
