Doha: Russia's Ministry of Regional Emergency Situations reported that two people were killed and three others injured in an avalanche in southern Russia. The ministry said in a statement that an avalanche occurred on Migighi Mountain in the Bezengi Wall, engulfing a group of climbers.

According to Qatar News Agency, preliminary information indicates that two people were killed, three were injured, and ten were trapped under the snow. The group consisted of fifteen people. The ministry added that search and rescue operations are underway.
