Baghdad International Book Fair to Feature 20 Countries and Over 600 Publishing Houses

Baghdad: The 27th Baghdad International Book Fair is set to run from September 2 to 12, with representatives from 20 countries, including Qatar, participating in this major cultural event. Over 600 publishing houses and agencies from both Arab and foreign countries will be in attendance, occupying nearly 395 booths. Oman will be the guest of honor at this much-anticipated edition, offering a glimpse into its rich literary, intellectual, and scientific heritage.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event will be enriched by a wide array of cultural and intellectual programs. Attendees can look forward to panel discussions, poetry readings, and critical evenings featuring prominent Iraqi and Arab literary and intellectual figures. Furthermore, a cultural and artistic symposium will bring together numerous participants to showcase new releases and host literary and intellectual events.

Since its inception in 1979, the Baghdad International Book Fair has established itself as one of Iraq's and the region's premier cultural and intellectual gatherings. It attracts widespread participation from publishing houses and cultural institutions from the Arab world and beyond. The fair also serves as a hub for key cultural and intellectual personalities and draws significant public and media attention.
