Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command carried out, today, Sunday, regional searches and armed reconnaissance operations in areas south of Baghdad. The command stated in a statement, 'The units of the Seventeenth Infantry Division and the units attached to it, in coordination with the Intelligence Department, and within the security plans prepared to enhance security and stability and preserve the security achievement achieved in the various sectors of responsibility, carried out regional search and inspection operations, armed reconnaissance, and set up temporary surprise checkpoints in (Al-Bakr, Al-Zaydan, Al-Shaar, Al-Asal, Al-Shaher, Al-Shandawj, Al-Halfa, Al-Zayed, Abu Samak, Al-Aramim, Al-Fahhama, Al-Zaytoun, Al-Kawam, Al-Bijat, Shahkha 6, Sakhha 3, Sakhirija) within the southern perimeter of the capital.'
