Baghdad, The Federal Integrity Commission announced that the coordination team that accompanied the Prime Minister on his visit to the United States of America discussed several issues related to the recovery of wanted persons and smuggled assets as a result of corruption and the conclusion of memorandums of understanding. The Commission's media office stated in a statement: 'The team discussed with the competent authorities on the American side ways to facilitate the process of recovering convicts, accused, and smuggled funds and assets.' It explained that the discussions conducted by the coordination team also included emphasizing the importance of accelerating the conclusion of memorandums of understanding between the Iraqi Integrity Commission and the US Department of Justice on the one hand, and the Iraq Money Recovery Fund and the US Treasury on the other hand.
