The General Company of Iraqi Airways, represented by Dhu al-Fiqar Abdul Hussein, received an American delegation today, Thursday, to discuss ways to develop the work of the Iraqi national carrier. A statement by the Company explained that the meeting reviewed a number of files related to the work of Iraqi Airways, in order to develop the operational performance of the company, and also discussed the file of completing the contract concluded with Boeing related to receiving the remaining number of Dreamliner aircraft and (B737 MAX) aircraft and increasing operational efficiency. The statement stressed the keenness of Iraqi Airways to develop its services and improve its performance, according to various plans implemented under the supervision of the Minister of Transport, which contributes to developing the reality of the company and overcoming many challenges, in order to meet international requirements and standards. The statement indicated that Iraqi Airways is working on preparing comprehensive training programs to raise the efficiency of its cadres by benefiting from foreign expertise and the continuous endeavor to adhere to implementing the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) according to the USOAP program, and continuing cooperation with international experts to improve performance in all fields in a way that contributes to strengthening Iraq's air connectivity with the world.
