Doha: Spanish club Osasuna announced today the signing of left-back Diego Rico from Getafe on a one-year deal. Rico, 33, becomes Osasuna's second signing of the current summer transfer window, following the arrival of Jonathan Dubasin, and will compete with Abel Bretones for the left-back position. According to Qatar News Agency, Rico began his career at Burgos' academy before playing for Real Zaragoza in the second division. He then moved to Leganes, where he played in the top flight. His performances attracted interest from English Premier League clubs, and he subsequently joined Bournemouth. Following his spell with the English club, he returned to Spain with Real Sociedad, where he competed in the UEFA Europa League, before moving to Getafe, his last club before joining Osasuna.
