Doha: HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri met on Monday with HE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Arun Hemachandra. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to enhance them, particularly in areas related to the labour sector.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening the ties between the two nations, especially in the context of labor and foreign employment. Both parties expressed interest in exploring new avenues of collaboration to benefit workers and improve employment conditions.

The discussions also included potential initiatives that could be undertaken to facilitate better understanding and cooperation between the two countries, aiming for mutual benefits in the labor sector. The dialogue underscored the importance of continued engagement and communication to address labor market challenges effectively.
