Gaza: The Palestinian Presidency on Thursday affirmed that the continuation of the genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the attacks on Islamic holy sites will not achieve security and stability in the occupied territories.

According to Qatar News Agency, Palestinian Presidential Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeina emphasized in remarks that what is required now is to compel the Israeli occupation authorities to halt their war and attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and to pressure them to comply with international legitimacy resolutions.

Abu Rudeina also criticized the US veto, which defied the entire international community’s desire to stop the war of genocide, which will only encourage the occupation to continue its aggression and crimes. He said that the only way for everyone to enjoy security and stability is to stop the daily massacres that claim the lives of dozens of innocent Palestinians, to urgently deliver humanitarian aid to stop the famine gripping Gaza, and to ensure that the Palestinian people obtain their full rights.

On Wednesday, the US used its veto power against a draft resolution at the UN Security Council, submitted by the ten non-permanent member states, calling for an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.
