QASC Secretary-General Highlights Importance of Military World Skydiving Championship for Team Development

Doha: Secretary-General of the Qatar Air Sports Committee (QASC) Captain Hazza Hamad Al Attiya emphasized the significance of Qatar's national skydiving team's participation in the Military World Skydiving Championship in Slovakia as a crucial opportunity to enhance the team's skills by competing with top teams globally.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Attiya made these remarks during a ceremony where shields were exchanged among heads of participating delegations. He noted that the championship poses a significant challenge for the Qatari team, offering them valuable experience and a platform to showcase their capabilities. He highlighted the role of international competitions in honing athletes' skills, stating that the team is eager to demonstrate the progress of air sports in Qatar.

Qatar is participating in the Al Hadaf team category, with Mohammed Al Marri competing in the senior individual event. The team event features Abdulaziz Abdullah, Khaled Shajea, Saleh Al Obaidi, and Mohammed Al Attas, while Ali Al Yafei and Saleh Al Karbi are competing in the junior individual event.

The championship, which includes participation from 33 countries, is set to conclude on August 23. Qatar is focused on achieving positive outcomes and further developing its Target team in preparation for future international competitions.
