Doha:Qatari swimmer Adam Morsi is preparing to compete in the upcoming Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal as part of the Qatar Olympic Committee delegation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Games are scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 13, with the swimming events occurring from November 1 to 6. Morsi will be competing in the 50m, 100m, and 200m breaststroke events.

Officials have stated that Morsi's participation underscores the Qatar Aquatics Federation's dedication to nurturing young national talent and providing athletes with international exposure. The competition will offer Morsi a platform to test his skills against top young swimmers globally, aiding in his preparation for future sporting endeavors.

The federation hopes that Morsi's performance will highlight the advancements in Qatari swimming and bolster efforts to cultivate a new cohort of athletes poised to excel at both regional and international competitions.
