Doha: Qatar swept both the youth and women’s titles at the Arab 3×3 Basketball Championship, held over two days in Muscat.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari youth team secured gold with a 20-17 win over Kuwait in the final, while Lebanon finished third. In the women’s competition, Qatar beat hosts Oman 21-13 to take the title, with Kuwait claiming bronze.

Abdullah Sultan Al Jaber of the Qatar Basketball Federation said the double triumph reflected the country’s progress in 3×3 basketball and the strength of its player development programs. He praised the high level of competition and the event’s professional organisation.

Qatar’s teams now turn their focus to the Gulf 3×3 Championship for men and women, scheduled for November 28-29 in Muscat.
