Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani stressed the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities in the service of the public interest. The Ministry stated in a statement: "During his meeting with the Chairman and members of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee, the Minister presented a briefing on the most important projects implemented by the ministry within its plans to develop the oil and gas industry, stressing the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities in the service of the public interest." For his part, Haibat al-Halbousi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee, stressed the importance of cooperation and joint coordination between the ministry and the committee, noting the committee's keenness to provide support to the ministry through meetings and exchange and respect for viewpoints, in addition to approving laws that contribute to the dev elopment of the oil industry and optimal investment of national wealth.
