London: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Donald Trump discussed efforts to end the conflict with Iran in a phone call on Saturday. A statement from the UK Prime Minister's office noted that Starmer welcomed the progress made so far and affirmed his country's readiness to support the implementation of any peace agreement and to work with international partners to ensure its success.
According to Qatar News Agency, the two leaders also agreed on the need to restore freedom of navigation to mitigate the impact of the conflict on the global economy.
