Washington: US President Donald Trump stated that the United States has full control of the Strait of Hormuz and emphasized that Tehran is under severe pressure due to a blockade.

According to Qatar News Agency, Trump highlighted that Iran is facing an inflation rate of 300% and described the situation in the country as chaotic, with its military forces having collapsed. He mentioned that Iran is keen on negotiating a deal with Washington but is not willing to comply with the necessary conditions set by the United States. Trump reiterated that the primary objective of the US is to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Trump further urged Iranian officials to signal surrender, indicating that they are enduring significant economic distress and pressure from the blockade.
