Doha: Al Ahli and Al Shamal secured victories over Al Rayyan and Al Khor, respectively, on Monday in the second round of the 2025-2026 Basketball League season. In the first match, Al Ahli overcame Al Rayyan with a 76-64 win. The quarter scores were (24-9, 23-11, 14-19, 15-25) in favor of Al Ahli. According to Qatar News Agency, Al Rayyan's Tyler James Lee Harris stood out as the top scorer with 21 points, while Al Ahli's Raekwon Deshawn Rogers contributed 20 points, playing a decisive role in his team's victory. With this result, Al Ahli raised its tally to 27 points, moving into second place after 16 matches, while Al Rayyan maintained the lead with 30 points from 14 wins and two losses. In the second match, Al Shamal defeated Al Khor 108-82 in a game marked by consistent dominance. Al Shamal led from the start, winning the first quarter 30-22, followed by 29-21 in the second, 24-19 in the third, and 25-20 in the fourth. Al Khor's Lazar Trunic was the top scorer with 33 points, while Tyree Quanell shone for Al Shamal with 29 points. With this victory, Al Shamal climbed to sixth place with 23 points after 16 matches, while Al Khor remained at the bottom of the table in ninth place with 16 points from 15 games.
