Baghdad: The Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah announced the opening of a direct flight line to transport pilgrims from Taif Airport to Iraqi airports for the first time at the level of airlift. The Commission stated in a statement, 'The Chairman of the Commission, Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi, supervised the dispatch of the first flight of Iraqi pilgrims, which departs for the first time from Taif Airport to Iraqi airports, in the presence of the Consul General of the Republic of Iraq, Muhammad Samir Al-Naqshbandi, and the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority.' Al-Masoudi confirmed during the transportation of pilgrims from Taif Airport, 'The airline that was opened today in coordination with the Iraqi and Saudi civil aviation authorities and Iraqi Airlines will contribute to reducing the air transportation schedule for pilgrims and speeding up the process of transporting them to the homeland.'
