Erbil: The State of Qatar condemned the targeting of the office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the home of the head of the Security and Intelligence Agency in Erbil Governorate, considering it a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and a flagrant breach of the rules of international law.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, in a statement today, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to spare the region the consequences of unjustified attacks, to continue on the path of dialogue and diplomacy, and to reduce escalation, in order to contribute to consolidating security and stability at the regional and international levels.

The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's full solidarity with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and its support for all measures they take to preserve their sovereignty and security.
