Qatar National Bank Releases Updated Deposit Rates for Multiple Currencies

Doha: Deposit rates at opening as issued on Monday by Qatar National Bank (QNB) are as follows for several currencies and different maturity periods, ranging from one month to twelve months.

According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 4.16340% for one month and decrease to 3.68525% for twelve months. For the Japanese Yen (JPY), the rates begin at 0.40000% for both one and two-month deposits, increasing slightly to 0.60000% for twelve months. The Swiss Franc (CHF) shows negative interest rates, beginning at -0.18000% for one month, with a slight increase to -0.07000% for twelve-month deposits.

The British Pound (GBP) offers a rate of 3.93000% for a one-month deposit, increasing to 4.10000% for a twelve-month deposit. For local and regional currencies, such as the Qatari Riyal (QAR), Saudi Riyal (SAR), UAE Dirham (AED), and Bahraini Dinar (BHD), the rates vary. The Qatari Riyal offers a one-month deposit rate of 4.56667%, decreasing to 4.01667% for a twelve-month term. The Saudi Riyal maintains relatively stable rates, with a one-month rate of 5.00000% and a slight decrease to 4.95000% for twelve months.

The UAE Dirham starts with a rate of 2.05000% for one month, increasing to 3.15000% for a twelve-month deposit. Meanwhile, the Bahraini Dinar maintains a consistent rate of 4.75000% for up to six months, decreasing to 4.25000% for a twelve-month deposit.
