The Governor of Nineveh, Najm Al-Jubouri, announced mourning for a week following the fire in the wedding hall in Al-Hamdaniya.

The Nineveh Governorate Health Department reported, late Tuesday night, that the victims of a wedding party fire in the Hamdaniya district reached 100 dead and the injured exceeded 150.

The fire occurred during a wedding ceremony in the Al-Hamdaniya district in Nineveh Governorate, where the fire destroyed the wedding hall located in the district.

The Ministry of Health sent reinforcements from Baghdad and other governorates to relieve those injured in the fire.
