Three Palestinians Injured in Israeli Attacks in Gaza Amid Ceasefire

Gaza City:Three Palestinians, including two children, have been injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, as medical sources report continued shelling and gunfire despite a ceasefire agreement.

According to Qatar News Agency, a Palestinian man and his young daughter were wounded in an Israeli strike in the Ard Al-Laymun area, south of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. The incident coincided with heavy artillery shelling in eastern parts of the city and Israeli tank fire in the north-east.

In another incident in Gaza City, a five-year-old girl was injured by gunfire from an Israeli drone in the north-east of the city. Additionally, Israeli naval vessels reportedly fired heavily off the city's coast.

The Health Ministry reported that the death toll from the conflict, which began on October 7, 2023, has risen to 74,564, with 175,770 people injured. Since the ceasefire took effect in October, 1,568 people have been killed and 5,649 injured. The ministry also noted that the bodies of 845 people had been recovered during the same period.

Despite the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israeli forces in October, Israeli military operations, including air strikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire, have persisted in several parts of the Gaza Strip.
